How large is the download, and where does it come from?

About two gigabytes, once. The weights come from the model host's own network, which is inbound traffic carrying the model's files, and your browser keeps them so a later visit does not fetch them again.

Does my document get sent to the model?

No. The model runs inside your browser tab on your own graphics hardware, so the document it reads never leaves the device. That is the reason the download is this large: the alternative is somebody else's server reading your file.

What if there is not enough room on my disk?

The browser refuses the write, and the panel says there is not enough space and what would make some. The figure a browser reports for its own quota is not reliable, so the real limit is found by trying. Every other tool on this site works without the model.

Can I remove it afterwards?

Yes. One button deletes the cached weights and reclaims the space, and the AI tools then offer the download again rather than failing quietly.
