9 tools, free
No account, no upload, no watermark. Your documents are read in this browser and never sent anywhere, which is true of the paid tools as well. Seven of these are free with no limit on them at all; two read a document rather than assemble one, and those are free up to 20 pages.
- Nothing is uploaded. Every one of these runs on your own machine.
- No sign-up and no watermark on anything you make.
- Seven have no page limit. Two are free up to 20 pages.
Why are these the free ones?
Because they are the ones worth judging us on. Merge, split and compress are free because taking them away makes a first visit worse and proves nothing -- everybody has those. The other six are free because they are where this product is visibly better: PDF to Excel checks a bank statement's balance against itself and names the row it breaks at, redaction scans its own output and tells you whether anything survived, and the four court tools do a whole job rather than a sample of one.
What does the 20 page limit apply to?
PDF to Excel and Redact PDF, and it is counted per document rather than per month or per run. A bank statement is a handful of pages and a record going out for review is usually one person's, so the limit is well past the job most people arrive with. The other seven tools have no limit: a court bundle is a bundle, and twenty pages of one is a different job rather than a sample of it.
Is there a catch?
No watermark, no account, and nothing is kept. The paid plan buys the tools that need a language model or a recogniser -- OCR, the assistant, translation, the chat tools -- and the page limit coming off the two metered tools above. If none of that is what you came for, the nine here are yours without paying.
