Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the GoSmart PDF web tools, which run on your own device. The site is operated by Mrityunjay Kumar, India, and the GoSmart Pro subscription is sold through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record.

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the gosmartpdf.com website and the tools on it, operated by Mrityunjay Kumar, India. By using the site you agree to these Terms.

The service

GoSmart PDF provides browser tools for working on PDF files. Merge, Split and Smart Compress are free to everyone. The remaining tools are available as a paid subscription called GoSmart Pro. Every tool runs inside your own browser, so you are responsible for the files you open here and for having the right to work on them.

The GoSmart PDF apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac are sold separately on the Apple App Store and are governed by Apple terms in addition to these.

Subscriptions & billing

GoSmart Pro is offered for ₹249 per month. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, who is the seller of record for this subscription and handles billing, taxes and receipts. By subscribing you authorise Dodo Payments to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices may change with prior notice.

A completed purchase mints one licence key. It is shown to you on screen as soon as the payment clears, and a copy of the licence key is also sent to the email address you used at checkout. It unlocks the Pro tools on one device at a time, and moving it to another device signs the first one out. It is for your own use. Selling or publishing it is not permitted, and it stops working when the subscription behind it ends.

Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel at any time. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy for how cancellations and refunds are handled. If a Pro tool you subscribed for is withdrawn, write to us and we will refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.

Acceptable use

You may use these tools only on documents you own or are authorised to work on. Because every tool runs inside your own browser, we never see what you open, and we have no way to check this for you. It is your responsibility, and it is a condition of using the site.

You must not use GoSmart PDF to forge, falsify or misrepresent any document. This expressly includes altering financial documents such as bank statements, invoices, payslips, receipts and tax records; altering identity documents such as passports, driving licences, national identity cards and visas; altering academic or professional certificates; adding, removing or imitating anyone else's signature; or removing or obscuring text in order to deceive somebody who relies on the document. The editing, signing, redaction and password tools are provided for working on your own documents and for nothing else.

You also agree not to misuse the service in the ordinary ways: bypassing access controls, reselling access, reverse engineering the software, automating the tools at a volume that degrades the site for other people, or any unlawful purpose. Your subscription is for your personal use.

We cannot detect a breach of this section, since nothing you open reaches us. What we can do, and will, is terminate a subscription and refuse service where we are made aware of one, and answer any lawful request from an authority investigating it.

AI-generated content

Summarize, Translate and the Assistant run a language model inside your browser, on your own machine. There is no AI provider in this: your document is not sent to us, to OpenAI, to Google or to anyone else, and no part of it is used to train anything. Enabling these tools downloads the model itself to your browser once, over a public content delivery network, and that download carries nothing about you or your files. It needs a recent browser with WebGPU, and it is off until you turn it on.

What the model produces is a working draft only. It may contain errors, it may misread a document, and it is not professional, legal, medical or financial advice. You are responsible for checking it before you rely on it or pass it on.

Intellectual property

The service, its content and branding are owned by Mrityunjay Kumar or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-transferable right to use the service while your subscription is active. The files you work on remain entirely yours, and we claim no right over them.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. PII Redact removes the text underneath the boxes it draws and Secure applies real encryption, but neither is offered as a guarantee against every form of recovery or attack, and neither replaces your own review of a document before you release it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mrityunjay Kumar is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time by cancelling your subscription.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the courts of India.
