A page that carries its own text is read straight off it. A scanned one is recognised here in the browser first, and a page that will not read the first time is cleaned up and read again. Either way the .docx comes out with the margins, paragraphs, headings and pictures rebuilt from where the words actually sat on the page. Every file is opened, changed and saved by your own browser.
