Speak it, get the document, sign it
Every transcription service wants the audio on its servers and bills by the minute, which is an awkward arrangement for a disciplinary meeting, a doctor's appointment or a call with your solicitor. This one downloads a speech recogniser once and then runs it in this tab, so the recording stays on the machine it was made on. It opens whatever your browser can play: m4a from a phone, mp3, wav, webm and the audio inside a video file. Every file is opened, changed and saved by your own browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server, nothing is stored, and no account is needed.
- Save the transcript as a PDF, as a Word file you can edit, or as plain text
- Or have it written into a form: a site visit report, meeting minutes, a client or patient note, an incident report, a field service report or a handover note
- A form is filled only from what was said. Anything the recording did not cover is left blank and marked as such, never guessed at, and the blanks are counted before you export
- Send the finished PDF straight to Sign and Fill without it going near your downloads folder, so speak, write it up and sign it is one sitting
- Optionally mark every paragraph with its time, so a line can be found again in the recording
- Up to thirty minutes in one go, and about three minutes of waiting for it
- Everything is shown on screen before you save it, because a recogniser is not a typist and a filled form is not a witness
- The same 38 MB recogniser the microphone and Multi-Audio Chat use. Filling in a form adds the larger writing model, which is optional and asked for only when you use it
