Find the payment terms in a purchase order
The terms that decide when you get paid are usually on the reverse, in small type, and often only in the scanned copy. This reads the document and finds them with a page reference.
- Reads the scanned reverse side, where the terms usually live.
- Cites the page, so the term can be checked before it is relied on.
- Runs on this device, with no upload and no account.
The terms are rarely where the order is
A purchase order is a one-page form and a set of standard terms attached to it, and the part that matters commercially is almost always the attachment: net thirty or net sixty, what triggers the clock, what the penalty for late delivery is, and whether anything is retained. Those are printed small, often on a reverse that was scanned rather than generated.
Recognition runs first for that reason, and the plan shows it. A question asked of an unread scan has no honest answer at all, and the worst outcome would be a confident one drawn from the one page that happened to carry text.
What the answer looks like
A passage, its page, and the document it came from. Not a rewritten version of the term: the words as the order printed them, because a paraphrased payment term is a term somebody has to go and check anyway, which makes the paraphrase worse than useless.
Where the order and an attached schedule disagree, both are reported with both citations rather than resolved. That disagreement is usually the reason somebody went looking, and a tool that quietly picked the more recent-looking one would have hidden the finding it was asked to produce.
Where nothing is found, you are told that, and the question is not passed to the model at all. A fluent answer assembled out of the closest passage available is indistinguishable from a real one, which is why an empty retrieval stops there rather than being handed on to something that will always produce a paragraph.
Can I ask about several orders at once?
Yes. Add them all and each part of the answer names the order it came from.
Does it work on a fax-quality scan?
Recognition copes with poor scans better than with skewed ones. A straighter scan is the single biggest improvement you can make.
